You will find your EAN code (a sequence of eighteen figures beginning with 54144) on your energy bill.
If you use gas and electricity, then you will have two EAN codes: one for electricity and one for gas.

• If you move to a new address:
  • The former occupant can let you have the EAN codes which he will find on his electricity or gas bill.
  • The managing agent of the building can also let you have the EAN code, or at least the meter number that supplies energy to your apartment. Sometimes the EAN code is given on the meter.
     
• Is it a new building or a newly installed meter?
  Sibelga will give you the EAN code when a new meter is installed.

  • by using the online EAN code search form on the Sibelga website.
  • by calling Sibelga customer services on 02 549 41 00.

Make a note of your meter number first. You will find your meter number on the front of the meter, near the meter reading. Using the meter number and your address, the Sibelga staff member will be able to find your EAN codes quickly.
